Cargo Support

If you want to connect a domain from a third-party domain host but don’t want to edit your DNS settings yourself, Cargo can configure it for you. This requires sharing your domain host login information with Cargo.

Begin by adding the domain to your site: Publish Settings → Add a Domain → Use an existing Domain ​ When you’ve added the domain, click on “Have Cargo configure this domain” and follow the prompts.

⚠️ Pointing your domain to Cargo can have unwanted consequences for services that are already linked to the domain, like FTP and email. If you think this may affect you, first contact your domain host to make sure that changing your domain’s DNS settings will not make associated services inaccessible. ​ ​ ​
